Towards the end of 2017, I began to feel photo burnout in my personal work, so I spent less time with my DSLR this year. As I entered 2018, I turned only to my cracked, gold iPhone 7 for recreational photography. Much to my surprise, I found I’ve regained a lot of my interest in the fundamentals: composition, lighting, and color. We’ll see if this manifests into more interesting digital work in 2019, but for the time being, here are some of my favorite mobile snaps of this year.
Have a lovely 2019, reader. And don’t forget or feel ashamed to capture what you see with whatever you have.
